"AN ACTOR WHO IS ACTING IS REPLACEABLE. AN ACTOR WHO FINDS THE ROLE WITHIN HIMSELF IS TRUELY AN ACTOR."

The truthfulness of the moment

Influenced by the Italian "commedia dell'arte", Michele Oliveri began writing his own plays for his theater group "Arti-Schocken" as early as 1981 and realizing his visions on stage. This is how the "Picture Book Theatre" was born, which Oliveri presented in a seminar at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University.

Over the years, he reworked classics to reach young audiences. In the process, absurdist theatre opened up a new way for him to bring "liberated acting" to the stage. In this, Oliveri and his actors examined all the emotions conditioned by social morality and replaced them with authentic, real emotions.

"FOR ME THEATRE MEANS AN UNIQUE EXPERIENCE IN WHICH PERFORMERS AND AUDIENCE ALIKE ARE INVOLVED."

- Michele Oliveri
